Dr. Pacini is a Board Certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She is originally from Barranquilla, Colombia. She completed her residency in University of Texas in Houston at LBJ General Hospital. She enjoys both obstetrics and gynecology equally. Dr. Pacini is passionate about providing laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgical techniques for her patients. Dr. Pacini loves the desert area and as one of the practice owners, she is committed to staying in the area. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys working with her husband at their clothing store in Palm Springs, British Invasion, enjoys dancing, rock climbing, horseback riding, traveling, spending time with her three children, and taking her dog Bono for hikes.
Dr. Fergon is a Certified Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife, and is also one of the practice owners. She completed her doctorate of Nursing Practice at Duke University. She has been providing healthcare to women in the valley for over 20 years. She grew up in the state of Washington and moved to the desert during high school. After working as a labor and delivery nurse for six years, she decided to become a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner; inspired by the positive, close relationships that are built between patients and providers. Her professional interests include all aspects of women's healthcare with an emphasis and passion on infertility treatments. She is able to provide infertility treatments including but not limited to Intrauterine Insemination. She provides routine obstetrics and gynecology, and currently has privileges to perform low risk deliveries at Desert Regional Medical Center. In her free time, she is actively involved in volunteering in children's services at Southwest Community Church. She enjoys reading, scrap booking, and spending time with her husband and two children. You might run into her hiking the local bump & grind trail in Palm Desert.
Sandy was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. After working as a nurse for ten years she completed her Masters in Science nursing program at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. During her graduate program, Sandy had the opportunity to train under the expertise of Stanford University physicians in obstetrics and gynecology enhancing her clinical experience in prenatal care and preventative women’s health. Sandy has four sons and enjoys spending time with them and enjoying the weather that southern California provides. She is a seasoned runner and runs yearly half marathons, training regularly with her dedicated running partner, her German Shepard.
Barbara has been a resident of the Coachella Valley for more than 30 years. She and her husband have been married for over 30 years, and they raised their 2 children here. She practiced as a RN for more than 18 years at JFK Hospital as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, and was also the Perinatal Educator for 5 years. Barbara received her BSN from the University of Phoenix, and then continued her education to earn her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Phoenix in February 2010. After her graduation, she worked locally as a Women's Nurse Practitioner. You can spot Barbara and her husband walking her Great Dane and her Lhasa Apso in the desert.
Dr. Benitez is a Board Certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She joined our team in December 2013. She enjoys obstetrics and gynecology alike. Dr. Benitez is originally from the Philippines, and graduated from the Cebu Institute of Medicine. She did her first OBGYN residency program in the Philippines and worked as a doctor there for 10 years before coming to the United States. She then completed her second OBGYN residency program at State University of New York at Buffalo. She worked as a physician in Michigan for 5 years before relocating to California to be closer to her family. In her spare time, Dr. Benitez likes to relax at home, spending time with her husband, kids, and 2 dogs. She enjoys baking, doing needle work, and scrapbooking.
Dr. Kassam is the newest physician and very welcomed. She completed her residency training at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, Massachusetts. Dr. Kassam is excited to provide a full complement of both obstetric and gynecological care to women in the desert area, with special interests in high risk obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and looks forward to exploring all that the Coachella Valley has to offer. She has a passion for travel and loves spending time with her family and friends.
Jeanne is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Jeanne took her first CPR course at the age of fifteen and worked as a life-guard in a variety of settings. While still in high school, she took an EMT course. Her interests in emergency medicine lead to experiences as a fire-fighter, paramedic, flight paramedic, and Emergency Room /Intensive Care Nurse. Jeanne received her BSN from San Diego State University. While attending San Diego State University, she juggled full-time school with work and church activities and had the opportunity to work as the Chief Flight Paramedic on the movie set Titanic. Jeanne received her MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Since becoming a nurse practitioner, Jeanne has served on the local board for the California Association for Nurse Practitioner’s both as Vice President and President. She is currently the immediate past president. Jeanne received the Nurse Excellence Award from The Rancho Mirage Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and was nominated for the Nurse of Distinction Award in 2012 from the California Association for Nurse Practitioners. Using her forum as a leader in the community, she frequently speaks to local high school and college students on healthcare topics and careers in nursing. She is also an advocate for the AHA Go Red for Women and has guest lectured for their Tasty Topics luncheons. While Jeanne has worn a variety of hats in the healthcare industry, she considers the role of mom and wife the best. During her free time, she is either watching her son play sports or participating in family sports. Jeanne promotes a holistic approach to patient care with an emphasis on prevention and education. Her motto, “Motion is life, so, keep moving.”
